SVA Galleries is pleased to present seven artists at Untitled San Francisco (Booth A-22), taking place January 18 – 20, 2019, at Pier 35, San Francisco, CA. This debut presentation reflects the College's dedication to supporting its artists beyond the classroom.

"The opportunity to introduce SVA’s emerging artists to the international arts community at Untitled San Francisco can help set the trajectory of their careers moving forward," says booth curator and SVA External Relations project manager Dan Halm (MFA 2001 Illustration as Visual Essay; BFA 1994 Illustration). "Untitled gives us the opportunity to showcase the high caliber of SVA's alumni while honoring the College's commitment to educating the next generation of innovative creators and thinkers."

The featured artists, all members of the class of 2018, include Zachary Boozer (MFA Photography and Video), Max Brownsberger (BFA Photography and Video), Johnnie Chatman (MFA Photography and Video), Sam Eisenberg (BFA Photography and Video), Honey Forestier (BFA Fine Arts), Alicia Smith (MFA Fine Arts) and Roberto Vega (MFA Fine Arts). These artists-to-watch work in a range of mediums including photography, sculpture and painting to explore identity, the altered perceptions of observed realities and themes that reflect the power of nature, beauty and alteration of the ordinary.

For the past 16 years, SVA Galleries has presented recent graduates at numerous art fairs throughout the country. The exposure has garnered exhibition opportunities, gallery representation and commissions for public artworks that have allowed SVA artists to sustain their artistic careers.
