Media in NY Media Center
30 John Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY 11201
February 7 - February 28
Opening Reception: February 7, 6-8pm

The Made in NY Media Center will be presenting a solo exhibition of alumna Min Liu’s (2013) animations and installations this coming February. TANGIBLE, which is curated by Thomas D. Rotenberg, ‘examines the format of animation/moving image by exploring the relationship between its digital representation and analog and physical experience. Blurring the boundary between the visible and the tangible, Min Liu offers her unique styles and fresh perspectives on what animation is, and could be.’

Included in the show is Bloody Dairy a daily animation project which won many awards and was selected for many prestigious festivals such as Annecy International Film Festival. Also included in the show is her latest series of interactive installations which use pre-cinema techniques such as praxinoscope and kinegram.

The show will open on Thursday February 7, 2019 with a reception taking place from 6-8pm. The show will be on view until Thursday, February 28, 2019. For more information on the Made in NY Media Center, please click here.
