New Red Order, Culture Capture: Terminal Addition, video still, 2019.

Please note: Due to the evolving novel coronavirus situation, this event has been canceled and will be rescheduled to a later date.

Enlisting a rotating and expanding cast of informants, artist initiative New Red Order (NRO) uses video and performance to create a place of acknowledgement, savage pronouncement, calling out, calling in, recruitment, and cumulative interrogation to shift potential obstructions to Indigenous growth. In partnership with The New School’s Documentary Media Studies program, curator and film scholar Leo Goldsmith asks delirious filmmakers and NRO core contributors Adam Khalil and Jackson Polys how they deal with colonial-Indigenous fact/fictions and other astral historical material through narrative and documentary techniques alike. Presented by MA Curatorial Practice.
