Hosted by the BFA Film and Video Department, the Festival screens award-winning short films from the 2012 Morelia International Film Festival, followed by question-and-answer sessions with Daniela Alatorre (Festival de Cine de Morelia) and Carlos Gutierrez (Cinema Tropical). From animation to documentary, these Spanish-language, English-subtitled films represent the highest achievement in new Mexican filmmaking.

However, 17-year-old Oliverio spends his time playing video games, even though electricity is unstable and in short supply. When the summer rains start, a short circuit puts an end to the building's connection to the electrical system. New ideas on how to get power arise.
