Next up in the SVA Short Takes series is New York-based photographer Accra Shepp discussing his portraits of Occupy Wall Street protesters, which he took in the fall of 2011. Shepp's work is in a variety of collections, such as the Museum of Modern Art, The Art Institute of Chicago, and The Victoria and Albert Museum. He is currently at work on a survey of the more than 40 islands that make up New York City. Selections from his series “Occupying Wall Street” were included in the book The Order of Things, published in conjunction with a show at the Walther Collection, Germany.
