Max Kornfield (BFA 2020 Visual & Critical Studies) recently sent us some information on “For the Spiritual Traveler: Further Reflections,” a new group exhibition they’ve curated at Art at First in Manhattan. The exhibition’s roster of artists also includes VCS faculty members Peter Hristoff (BFA 1981 Fine Arts) and Amy Wilson (BFA 1995 Fine Arts), and alumnus Stella Song (BFA 2020 Visual & Critical Studies).

Max had the following comments on the exhibition:

“I am very excited to share the second iteration of ‘For the Spiritual Traveler: Reflections of Faith,’ an exhibition of expressions of the artists′ spiritual practice or reflections on their religious heritage. These works join together as a diverse survey of contemporary faith, ritual, and artistic style connected to established Christian and Islamic traditions, and alternative mystical and magical practices of the West and East

”I am curating the exhibition and showing work alongside Amy Wilson, Milena B.F., Leigh Behnke, Srishti Dass, Peter Hristoff, Brezaja Hutcheson, Saxton Lamoureaux, Farwah Rizvi, and Stella Song.“

”For the Spiritual Traveler: Further Reflections” is on display through February 28, 2023 at Art at First, which is located on the second floor of First Presbyterian Church at 12 West 12th Street in Manhattan. The gallery is open from 2:00 – 4:00pm Sundays, or by appointment through max.kornfield@gmail.com.
