Welcome, UArts students, to the School of Visual Arts (SVA NYC).


Our Admissions team is ready to provide dedicated support to you during this time of transition. What better place to pick up where you left off than in New York City, the country’s bustling creative capital?


Below, you’ll find more information about applying as well as insights into what makes the SVA experience so impactful.


We are currently accepting applications from UArts students for both Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 terms. We strongly encourage UArts applicants to reach out to us by email to express interest. This will allow our team to provide you specialized care and attention. You can reach us at admissions@sva.edu (for BFA program applicants) or gradadmissions@sva.edu (for Masters program applicants).

SVA is offering UArts freshmen and transfers the following courtesies:

  • Application fee waiver (see instructions below)
  • Dedicated assistance from a counselor at every stage
  • Expedited application material review for a fast decision turnaround process
  • Review for generous merit scholarships
  • Need-based aid offerings through submission of your FAFSA
  • Upper-level transfer placement, including for rising seniors in select majors
  • On-campus housing availability, fully located in Manhattan

How to Secure your Application Fee Waiver

  • Start or continue your application at sva.edu/apply .
  • Before you submit, email us at admissions@sva.edu (for BFA applicants) or gradadmissions@sva.edu (for Masters program applicants).
  • We will reply when your waiver has been added. Then, you can sign-in and submit free of charge.
  • Please note, refunds are not offered. Be sure to secure your fee waiver before proceeding.
