Basic instruction on the sewing machine and techniques for using backing and fabric reinforcements will be covered. Students can sew on drawings and canvas, and use thread as a new form of lines. Knowledge of sewing is not required.
Note: Please bring your personal prints, drawings and fabric art to the first session. Access to the printshop is only available during class hours. This course is held on campus at SVA.
