This one-day workshop will focus on creating hardcover books, using perfect-bound and signature-bound techniques. Bookmaking offers the opportunity to create artist books using a variety of colored papers and book cloths. We will cover bookbinding basics-from gluing and sewing the pages to assembling finished books into hardcover form. Students will leave with one or two bound books that can be used as notebooks or sketchbooks. All materials and tools are provided. No prior bookmaking experience is required.
