Interior designers work in both public and private spaces, including restaurants, hospitals, corporate offices and healthcare facilities. They must take into account the practical consideration of different spaces as well as aesthetic concerns of light, color and materials. They must also adeptly handle clients, understand their needs and expectations, and be able to communicate the best solutions.

Successful interior designers combine technical and logistical concerns with aesthetics.

A successful interior designer will therefore need both sides of their brain to combine logic and aesthetics to create functional and beautiful spaces. It is a very exciting field that is ever-evolving as fashions change and new concerns arise—such as the concern for the environment and sourcing sustainable materials. If you want to pursue a career in interior design, start by taking one of our design courses.
