This course equips filmmakers with the skills to position their short films for funding through strategic brand partnerships, without compromising creative control. Students will learn how to identify and approach brands that align with their film's themes, package projects to appeal to brand partners and integrate product placement in a way that elevates instead of distract. Drawing from real-world examples, including successful partnerships with major beauty and lifestyle brands, students will be guided through crafting compelling pitches, building budgets and funding proposals with clear ROI, and navigating intellectual property protection. By the end of the course, students will have practical tools-including agreement templates, funding decks and practice pitching-and the confidence to fund their projects through partnerships that respect their artistic vision.
