Even if you've never threaded a needle before, this workshop will teach you the basics needed to make a traditional embroidered sampler. We'll cover the straight stitch, running stitch, backstitch, chain stitch, herringbone, cross stitch and satin stitch-all the basics that you'll need to create projects for years to come. Learn about the various traditions of embroidery that were so important in American craft history, from the colonial to the Victorian eras. All course materials will be supplied.
