Weaving Workshop

Come learn the basics of weaving in this workshop. Participants will build a simple, traditional frame loom that they can take home and reuse many times. In class, we will build and warp the loom, learn about different kinds of wefts (the active component of weaving) and use traditional and nontraditional materials to weave (including yarn, fabric, paper, plastic and found objects). A lecture on a variety of looms that exist cross-culturally will be included. All course materials will be supplied.
