Develop your creative abilities while experiencing American culture
Earn 3 undergraduate college credits
Enjoy a variety of organized social and cultural activities
For summer 2021 students may choose between in-person and online course options, and will be awarded three undergraduate studio credits upon successful completion of the course. Classes are held Monday through Friday, and will be supplemented by additional activities. All instructors are SVA faculty and professionals in their respective fields.
The in-person program includes a variety of organized social and cultural activities. Previous activities have included museum visits, Broadway musicals, movie nights, walking tours, and an end-of-program student exhibition.
Students registered for the in-person course have the option to stay in SVA housing.
The program is open to students who have completed at least one semester of college or university and/or will be enrolled in college or university in the subsequent fall semester. Registration is based on a first come, first served basis. Portfolio submission is not required to attend.
This program is considered part-time study. Please note that the College cannot provide you with a visa for this program, nor assist you in obtaining one. As a general rule, international students can take a vocational or recreational course as long as it is incidental to their main purpose of visiting the U.S. Further questions about visa status can be directed to the International Students Office at email@example.com.
CDFNY health and safety information will be added to the website shortly, and will be updated as needed. For information about SVA’s response to COVID-19, visit sva.edu/coronavirus.
