Orientation
Orientation at SVA offers students the opportunity to meet faculty, staff and other students before classes begin. Through resources like the Orientation Blog and a variety of events during Welcome Week, Orientation also helps acclimate new students to the SVA campus, community, and NYC.

Student Affairs encompasses the offices of Residence Life, Student Health and Counseling Services, Disability Resources and Student Engagement and Leadership. We are a general resource for all students and are here to support student wellness and success outside of the classroom.

Our team provides assistance to students looking to access physical and mental healthcare providers. Free and confidential short-term counseling services are provided on site, as well as wellness related programming.

Residence Life
The Residence Life team oversees SVA’s four residence halls with a team of live-on professional and student staff. Students living on campus join a unique community of artists in a safe, diverse, and supportive living environment.

Disability Resources

Financial Aid
SVA Financial Aid assists students by providing financial solutions in meeting educational costs including federal, state, private and institutional aid sources. We educate students regarding need-based opportunities including gift aid (grants) and self-help aid (loans and work-study), alternative financing options (credit-based loans), and offer guidance for merit-based opportunities (scholarships) within and outside SVA.

ISO provides services and programs that support international students to help achieve their educational goals.
