Curatorial statement:

Anonda Bell’s delicate sculptures illustrate the various bacteria and microbes that exist alongside us that until the present era we have been unaware of. That when you look at the world on a microscopic level the centering of the human experience can seem absurd. How as hosts and conduits of these various pestilences (from our perspective) our ignorance and disassociation leading to complacency has had a devastating effect on the ecology of the planet.

From the artist, “This series of works encourages contemplation about mortality, change over time, and the place of humans within the natural world.”
