SVA Library presents Carrier Pigeon founders Matt Barteluce (MFA 2010 Illustration as Visual Essay) and Russ Spitovsky (MFA 2009 Illustration as Visual Essay; BFA 2003 Illustration), along with other magazine contributors, who will talk about how and why they started the artist-run magazine. Since 2010, they have produced 17 issues, giving the creative control to their writers, illustrators, fine artists and designers. They will also talk about funding and how they came to start a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
