School of Visual Arts presents the BFA Interior Design Thesis 2017, an exhibition of works by BFA Interior Design students that represents a wide range of projects and interests, from the design of a new New York City Hall that fosters communication and democratic protest, to an adaptive reuse of commercial structures for urban agriculture, to creating a meditative retreat in the chaos of lower Manhattan. Each project tackles the challenges of integrating conceptual thinking with programmatic layout, design and interior detailing to create an inspiring new place. The exhibition is curated by thesis faculty members Anthony Lee and Gita Nandan. Participating students include Amina Alsharif, Meichun Cai, Stephanie Chan, Wei Chen, Seoeun Choi, Daniela Cid, Mona Daoud, Yingshan Fu, Elizabeth Lee, Yijing Lin, Danyang Long, Claudia Matuszczak, Pauline Prieto, Brittany Tennison, Dolores Torti and Richard Vugmayster.
