SVA Library West
133/141 West 21st Street, lower level, New York, NY 10011MFA Interaction Design presents a talk, Q&A and signing for faculty member Roger Mader’s new book, Purposeful Enterprise.
About the book:
“We are purposeful when our daily practices—the actions of the individual and the group—move us deliberately toward our vision. And we live a full and worthy life when we pursue it with passion, and compassion for those who join us.
Purposeful Enterprise explores how to specify a compelling purpose that galvanizes a team, aligns action, fulfills a promise and drives performance.”
About Roger:
Roger Mader is an author, professor and advisor to inspired executives and companies large and small. He co-founded and serves as managing partner of Ampersand to help big companies act small, and small companies get big. For over three decades, Roger has guided executive teams to discover new sources of revenue and to align their people to achieve higher purpose.
He and his teams apply Ampersand’s proprietary methods to promote a more purposeful enterprise, including the Balanced Growth Agenda, Propeller Model, 5P Framework, Innovation Strategy and 4D method of human-centered design. His researchers study human behavior to qualify needs and frame new business opportunities. He guides multi-disciplinary experts and cross-functional client teams to match latent demand to breakthroughs in supply, designing new products, services and experiences to capitalize on growth opportunities hidden in plain sight.
His work focuses on ensuring that customers’ needs are deeply understood, that human behaviors and impediments are addressed, and market opportunities are framed so that executives appreciate the risk required to earn outsized rewards, and to mitigate those risks fearlessly.
Drinks and snacks will be served at this event.
