Collaborating for Digital Design During COVID-19

In this event presented by SVA Continuing Education, a panel of guests will discuss how they learned to collaborate remotely via various technologies and tactics during the COVID-19 pandemic. This presentation will include information about the success of specific companies during COVID-19, due to the tools they offer for designers to use for remote collaborators. They will discuss specific hurdles they had to overcome and the tools they used to overcome them. What did they learn that may actually help us to be better, more creative collaborators in the future? There will be time for discussion following presentations.
Panelists:
John Ewen, Enterprise Agile Coach, IBM, SVACE faculty
As a producer, project manager, coach and operations leader, Ewen has over 25 years of experience leading strategy, design and technology teams and organizations in the creation of digital products, experiences and campaigns across a wide range of industries for both enterprise and consumer audiences. Prior to his current role as Enterprise Agile Coach at IBM, Ewen worked for several digital agencies including Razorfish and Huge where he lead work for clients such as CarMax, Citi, Capital One, Bain & Company, Mercedes-Benz, Motorola, TE Connectivity, Microsoft, The Hollywood Reporter and United Technologies.
Yejin Mun, UX Designer, Google
Mun is a UX designer at Google. At her current team, Google Docs, she uses her creative power to make collaboration easier. Prior to her current role, she worked at several digital agencies and helped brands drive innovation with users′ needs at heart. She’s the type of designer who loves running workshops to bounce ideas with her cross functional colleagues. She finds it most rewarding when her team aligns on a shared vision that is full of cool ideas.
Sylvia Werhle, User Experience Creative Director, Publicis Sapient
Werhle is currently a user experience creative director at Publicis Sapient. Her work background has been diverse and interesting from working with startups to agency work. She is happiest mentoring people new to the field of UX. In her spare time, she researches and formulates skin and hair care products and bakes very complicated desserts for friends and family.
Robert Stribley, Associate Experience Director, Razorfish, SVACE Faculty
Stribley has over 20 years of experience as a user experience designer. He has also enjoyed the roles of content developer, content strategist, copywriter and social media manager. For the past several years, his primary client has been Mercedes-Benz USA, where he works on such properties as Mercedes-Benz Vans, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and MBUSA.com. He presents regularly at SXSW, the Internet Freedom Festival and other UX-related events. He also teaches workshops in user experience design at SVA.
