MPS Art Therapy presents a talk by alumnus Lukas Prokes, ATR, LCAT. RSVP here.

In this lecture, participants will be able to:

1. Identify and apply traditional approaches to ethics through utilitarian (consequential), deontological (Kantain) approach and ethical egoism theory.

2. Empower students to think critically about contemporary contrasting attitudes toward technology through techno-optimism and techno-pessimism.

3. Examine critically the social effects of technology in daily life and define ethical use of technology in counseling.

Lukas Prokes PhD, ATR, LCAT, received his MPS in Art Therapy from SVA and his PsyD in Clinical Psychology. Prokes divides his time between private practice and as a founder of a non-profit organization The Half Full Institute Inc., where he works with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and adjustment problems, such as stress, anxiety and relationship problems.

As the director of Clinical Services, Prokes works closely and collaboratively with parents, teachers, students and administrators to tailor programs to the specific needs of each child, family and school. His work in public school system of New York City focuses on developing tailored therapy for students and families struggling with the challenges of autism.
