Community Lecture Series: The Mural Project - Building Restorative Relationships

Register hereThis virtual lecture will explore ways to build restorative relationships, interpersonally, intrapersonally and with institutions, through an ongoing community-based art therapy mural project with young people who are system involved in New York City. To demonstrate and implement the practice, two mural artists and Elizabeth DelliCarpini, ATR-BC, ATCS, LCAT, will co-present. Elizabeth will provide the project overview and the mural artists will provide project examples that center their lived experience.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will learn ways to locate presenting problems within society, rather than the individual.
2. Participants will identify ways to mitigate social power differentials in practice.
3. Participants will learn strategies to increase social equity in the place of practice.
