About the Curators
We strive to democratize the market for both creators and patrons.Paradice Palase is a platform for emerging artists and collectors. They host an online membership and a digital space for viewing and collecting art. Kat Ryals and Lauren Hirshfield founded the platform in 2017 as an enacted critique of the entry barriers found within the contemporary art world. A two-woman operation, Paradice Palase is the love child of DIY and art world utopia. “We strive to democratize the market for both creators and patrons by offering career-forward networking, programming and resources, as well as curated online exhibitions of artwork, objects and prints for early-stage collectors. We also manage Oasis Studios—a 10-person studio building—in Brooklyn, NY.”
