MPS Digital Photography presents a talk with New York City-based fine art photographer Allison Plass. Plass received her MA in art history at UC Santa Barbara where she explored issues of gender and representation in European art. After several years of arts writing and research, she went on to complete the Advanced Track Program at the International Center of Photography in New York in 2020. Her photographic practice is influenced by art history and the natural world and the intersection of cultural myths and stories we carry about our own lives. She has received numerous awards and has been featured in solo, group and juried competitions in the US, Europe and Australia. She is also a 2023 Lensculture Portrait Awards Series Finalist.

The i3: Images, Ideas, Inspiration lecture series has returned to in-person events. The series continues to feature leading photographers, artists, editors, gallerists and industry experts. This spring, book designer, curator and faculty member Elizabeth Avedon is the guest curator and host.

Registration is required; the event location will be given to all registrants. All attendees must observe SVA COVID-19 protocols while on campus, remaining masked while indoors and presenting proof of vaccination (plus booster, if applicable) upon request.
