Tong Shen’s Equation is a series of photographic diptychs that aims to find unexpected connections between seemingly unrelated objects and scenes. Some of these connections are purely visual; others have to do with the meaning of the images’ content. The artist’s intent is to get viewers to pay more attention to the world around them as they go about their daily tasks.
