Visible Futures Lab Artist in Residence Jess Rowland will be presenting work developed during her residence in an exhibition and performance entitled "Notations: Interactive Flexible Circuits for Music." Rowland will demonstrate a variety of instruments (including typewriters, stethoscopes, player piano rolls and inductive coils) that work with "audio circuit prints": flexible circuitry created during her residency using printmaking and etching techniques. The exhibition will feature a large-scale interactive music composition as well as a short performance piece, Music for Typewriter. A reception will follow the performance.
