A talk by artist and SVA faculty member Laurel Nakadate. Nakadate has shown her work at institutions such as the Asia Society (New York), Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (Berkeley, California), Getty Center (Los Angeles), MoMA PS1 (New York), Museo Nacional Reina Sofia (Madrid) and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco). Her first feature film, Stay the Same Never Change, premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and subsequently screened at such venues as Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston) and Museum of Modern Art (New York).
