Tyson Houseman

Tyson Houseman (b. 1990) is a nehiyaw interdisciplinary video/performance artist, puppeteer, and director. Tyson’s practice focuses on aspects of contemporary Indigeneity, object performativity, and the interstices between live and captured performance. Along with producing his own time based media works, Tyson is a touring puppeteer on various multimedia live video performances created by Canadian scratch DJ Kid Koala, and spends his summers working with the Bread & Puppet Theater in Glover, Vermont. Tyson has a BFA in Theatre Performance from Concordia University in Montreal and is currently an MFA in Fine Arts Candidate at School of Visual Arts in NYC.
