The works of third-generation Abstract Expressionist painter Randall Schmit marry figurative techniques to abstract gestures to produce a hybrid that is both graphic and expressionistic. He is a 2011 recipient of the Adolph & Esther Gottlieb Foundation Individual Artist’s Support Grant and his paintings are included in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art, among others. Presented by the BFA Fine Arts Department.
