Zdenka Badovinac, one of Eastern Europe’s most distinguished curators and museum directors, launches Situated Curating: Unannounced Voices of Change, a new book in our “Thoughts on Curating” series from Sternberg Press. Against the backdrop of spreading authoritarianism and the spiking numbers of the pandemic itself, Badovinac speaks with curator iLiana Fokianaki, artist Ištvan Išt Huzjan and St. Petersburg-based artist collective Chto Delat about reprised forms of oppression and emerging artistic responses of solidarity.
