MFA Products of Design
136 West 21st Street, 7th floor, New York, NY 10011MFA Products of Design presents a talk with Chloé Desaulles, a New York City-based, Alsatian-raised creative director, researcher and new media artist. Her practice specializes in storytelling innovation, research and development, and interactive design for emerging technologies.
Artistically, Desaulles’s practice focuses on using new tools to tell old stories about people, habits and environments. Pursuing documentary capture via tinkering, dissecting and reassembling, she is interested in constructing frameworks where computation elevates analog processes, exploring the digitization of heritage, natural environments and the concept of home. Her work has been shown in festivals nationwide, such as the NYC Independent Film Festival, or the Academy-Award eligible Raw Science Film Festival.
Commercially, Desaulles has worked for clients in fashion, music, entertainment and tech, such as Mercury Records, Versace, Lucky Daye, 032c, Charlotte Rose Benjamin, and Louis Vuitton, followed by The New York Times R&D where she researched the future of visual and immersive storytelling. She is now directing, consulting and designing for clients such as Apple Special Projects Group, RCA Records, Black Dog Films, The Brooklyn Museum, Bad Binch Tong Tong, Buck Design or Local Projects.
