Last year, artist and BFA Illustration faculty member Steve Ellis (BFA 1994 Illustration) won Luna Park's nationwide Coaster Canvas Contest in 2020 for his design of the front car panel of the historic Coney Island Cyclone. The park reopened on Friday, April 9, revealing the new front panel, which Ellis hand-painted last summer.
