Dr. Jeremy Cohan

Dr. Jeremy Cohan, SVA faculty member and director of the College’s Honors Program, recently moderated a Jacobin magazine-hosted debate between writers Vivek Chibber and Slavoj Žižek. Taking off from Chibber's new book, The Class Matrix, the participants discussed whether it is capitalist ideology that prevents workers from rising up or if class structure within capitalism is what makes non-collective forms of resistance—or worse, resignation—more likely than collective action.
