Congratulations to MFA Interaction Design students Eun Soo Cho, Yu Fu, Nahye Kim, and Suvina Wahane! The team’s project, Anchor—a collaboration with the Jersey City Free Public Library and created with the guidance and support of MFA Interaction Design faculty member Marshall Sitten—has been named an honoree in the 2024 Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards. Anchor was created to tackle the language barriers encountered by the immigrant community in Jersey City, New Jersey, and aims to introduce innovative solutions to enhance the learning experience of English as a second language. Anchor was conceived as a user-friendly, accessible online platform tailored to the Jersey City Free Public Library’s ESL programs.
