The Hudson River has been the site of some of American history’s most important events, from early colonial settlements through the Revolutionary War to the 19th century industrial development that helped build our nation. The images in "Crossing the Hudson" were taken along the fifty-mile stretch from the Bear Mountain Bridge to the New York Harbor, and feature the structures and spaces that tell its human story.
