This project documents the vital and evolving infrastructure in New York, which is responsible for managing the city’s waste, treating wastewater, and filtering toxic gasses. Locations include treatment sites, industrial plants, and other relevant facilities that keep the city running smoothly.

As someone who previously worked on a project about air pollution in New York, Yu’s continuing goal is to shed further light on the often overlooked but essential systems that protect our environment and public health.
