Exhibition

MPS Digital Photography presents the exhibition, “More New York Stories,” at New York City’s 2024 Photoville Festival, located at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

“More New York Stories” is a continuation of a concept first used for Photoville 2022—the work included in this exhibition was created for the graduate program’s Editorial Photography class taught by James Estrin and staff member Marko Kovacevic (MFA 2016 Photography, Video and Related Media; BFA 2011 Photography). This class challenges students to find stories that are relevant to them and explore them through images. Year after year, New York City provides inspiration for many of these projects, especially for those students who come from other places in the world.

This year’s exhibition includes work by four students and alumni, Lucas Brito Drumond and Ming Zhang from the class of 2024, and Yiling Lu and Haofeng Yu from the class of 2023.

Each of their stories represents a slice of New York City life that is often overlooked or hidden, but worth exploring. Find us at Photocube 56 in the Emily Warren Roebling Plaza!
