Watch, from above, the broken ice on Lake Erie;
See blackened edges of water drawn rather childishly by
Scattered little people-lights like Cheerios on a carpet
Smeared through two layers of glass and
Clustered by time rather than a futurist’s pen
But, nevertheless,
Cells
And organs
And persons
And prisons.
