Artists Talk on Art: What It Means to be an Artist of Color

Saturday Afternoon Movies: Black History Month

Every Saturday during February, The New York Public Library will present free film screenings in honor of Black History Month. Films include 12 Years A Slave, Selma, Respect, and others. Every Saturday starting February 4, from 2:00 – 4:00pm. St. Agnes Library, 444 Amsterdam Avenue.

The Harlem Fine Arts Show

Celebrating its 15th year of being the largest traveling arts show featuring artists from the African Diaspora, the Harlem Fine Arts Show features nearly 100 artists of African, Caribbean and Black descent over a monumental three-day cultural experience and festival. Black History Month Game Jam

On America: The Big Payback

A film screening of The Big Payback, a documentary following the fight to pass the first government-funded reparations program. Black Lives in the Diaspora: Past / Present / Future

Celebrate the launch of the scholarly book series, Black Lives in the Diaspora, a collaborative effort between Howard University, Columbia University and Columbia University Press to energize publishing in the field of Black Studies. Black Arts Movement: Examined at the Harlem Stage

Museum of the City of New York
