The artist writes:

"As a Latino immigrant in the United States, the current political environment has removed hope for my future in this country, especially during the previous presidency. The confidence in myself, the pride of my heritage and background, and my mental health were indeed affected. After many days of feeling fearful and unfocused, I realized that the 2020 elections were questioning my own ideas and expectations of the 'American Dream' and the contradiction of being in an environment that was not welcoming my community or me. Necropolitic Tryptic is the name of these images that reflect my psychological and emotional state regarding racial and immigration challenges and the many microaggressions that immigrants must overcome to convince ourselves that we are integrating ourselves into a new society."
