Bio:

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area but I have spent most of my adult life in New York City. I have been drawing and painting since I was very young and I've carried this passion along with me throughout all stages of my life thus far. In 2013 I decided to make a big step in my career by applying to SVA BFA Fine Arts. Shortly after graduating in 2016, I began working for SVA Galleries and am now beginning my Masters at SVA MFA Fine Arts.

Artist Statement:

I believe in celebrating the ridiculous. There lives a humor within humanity that is often drowned out by negativity. I believe that humor and negativity are created by the same force, the most prolifically ridiculous trait of them all—insecurity. Siblings and stubborn in their own right, they are co-dependent and they refuse to die.

My work is the child of both worlds. The silly and exaggerated meets the grimy and chaotic. The realm where these paths intersect I feel is a necessary balance where life cannot be taken solely as a joke nor can it be taken too seriously.
