SVA Continuing Education and MPS Digital Photography each present displays at New York City’s 2021 Photoville, New York City’s free premiere photo destination now in its tenth year.

Through December 4 | UNTITLED Art Fair | Miami Beach, FL

SVA returns to Miami Art Week at UNTITLED Art, Miami Beach. Works from nine alumni range from interactive pieces to photography, fine art and painting. All works will be on view at Booth C54 through Saturday, December 4.

Through December 10 | Thesis Selections: MFA Illustration as Visual Essay | SVA Chelsea Gallery, 601 W 26th St., 15th floor

In a time of unprecedented challenges, the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay class of 2021 has achieved amazing things. The members of this unique cohort have responded to social and academic isolation and personal hardships with a brilliant burst of ambition and originality, creating spectacular paintings, drawings, prints, graphic novels, children’s books and illustrated memoirs.

December 7 - January 7 | “SVA❤️Milton” | Gramercy Gallery, 209 East 23rd St. & Flatiron Windows, 133/141 West 21st St

An immersive experience that places the enduring influence of Glaser in a real-world context, the exhibition celebrates his legacy as a designer and teacher through photographs, audio and original work from the Glaser Archives at SVA. There will also be a digital component featuring videos and notable quotes mounted on the walls on view from the sidewalk outside the SVA Flatiron Gallery windows.

An exhibition of work by MFA Fine Arts students Anna Amato, Ailyn Lee, Gregory McLellan, Se Young Yim and Yirui Jia, curated by Marianna Peragallo. By integrating accidents, incongruence, and hybridity in their work, these five cross-cultural, cross-generational artists

Ongoing | SVA at The Hugh | 601 Lexington Avenue

This beautiful new public space—formerly the Citigroup building—find a colorful mural by award-winning illustrator and alumnus Yuko Shimizu (MFA 2003 Illustration as Visual Essay); a new exhibition titled “45 Degree” that pays tribute to the building’s iconic slanted roof with whimsical takes on everyday products designed by SVA students; and an SVA favorite, the “Hemlines to Skylines” series of dresses created by SVA students and modeled after famous NYC architecture, including one inspired by the Citicorp building.
