Under the quiet neglected street
Where many spend their days staring with their empty eyes
A burst of stream screams out through the silence
As it soaks the dry heart of the street
Like the blessing of sweet rain in drought
One by one, hungry souls come out for the living stream
Hesitant at first by the grand energy exploding from the metal hydrant
With one brave step, soon the street meets with brave bare feet
As the joyous laughter of young lights
harmonize with the thunderous sound of crashing waves
The soulless eyes of wanderers fill with lights and
At last, watered are their deserted hearts
Forever engraving the unforgettable miracle
in the quiet neglected street of New York
