Neon Graveyard
April 1, 2020 by Mona Monahan

in the cemetery of sin,

A lone survivor,

the letter “C”,

its curves

presiding over a CASINO sign

now stiff in the dirt

nostalgic for the proud light that

molested dark eyes of greed

a REGAL’S cracked crown,

entices beasts from the shadows

a promiscuous promise

A throne,

leader of a kingdom

now chained to the ground

just as the lights

will fade from our eyes

The Graveyard is where the

souls of VEGAS die
