For the last decade, Jams x Bash have produced award-winning commercials, documentaries, music videos, TV shows (Pause with Sam Jay) and a feature film (The Day Ones), all with a bent of magical realism. Some of their many clients include Adidas, Disney, eBay, ESPN, Major League Baseball, Mastercard, Team USA, Vogue, Warner Brothers and Xfinity.

“I wanted to go study art, and all I knew was that this is something that I could do all day long,” Aquart recalls of his decision to apply to SVA. “I had no idea what it was going to be like. I was just following a drive, and that was kind of a leap of faith.”

Taught by faculty like Gail Anderson (BFA 1984 Media Arts), now chair of BFA Advertising and BFA Design, Aquart describes his SVA experience as an influential and inspiring time.

“One of the first classes you take . . . if you’re studying design is called Intro to Design. That was a foundational class for me. It was the first time that I could sit in a classroom and feel something from my classmates. There was a sense of appreciation for what your peers were doing that was honest and genuine.”
