As worldwide actions against systemic racism and police brutality continue—set against the backdrop of an ongoing pandemic that is disproportionately affecting communities of color and worsening inequality—there has been a wave of donations, incisive commentary and moving artwork in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Each week for the next few weeks, we will be presenting selections of related work created by SVA community members. See below for today's roundup.


Zakiya Noel (BFA 2017 Illustration) will be giving the proceeds from her works on Inprnt and Storenvy to The Liberty Fund, Brooklyn Community Bail Fund and NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Natalie Grant (BFA 2020 Photography and Video) posted the following artwork about the recent Black Lives Matter protests.

BFA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects shared this graphic, made by student Isabela Nava in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Milton Glaser Design Study Center and Archive reintroduced this poster made by Jon Key, Carol Lin and Wael Morcos in 2017.
