Allen hosted and Wojak participated in MFA Computer Arts’s Creativity and Community in Animation talent panel, which explored the paths from school to working in the animation industry and the value of collaboration, creativity and community. Other panelists included Anna Kvorning, head of staffing, L&D, LAIKA; Sabine Heller (MFA 2006 Computer Art), global head of character animation and rigging, Mikros Animation; and Camille Eden, VP, animation recruitment and talent development, Nickelodeon Animation Studio. The group discussed internships and reels, creative communities and groups in schools and the industry, and other career-related questions aimed at emerging talent from around the world.

“It was incredibly inspiring to join the SVA team at Annecy, a festival that I have always wanted to attend,” Allen says. “I am especially grateful for the opportunity to have moderated the SVA panel, which offered the space to think about creative communities and how one can truly support another more deeply and effectively. As both an educator and creative, this topic has always been so important to me, and I am very happy to have been able to help contribute to that conversation at Annecy.”
