Thrift Store and Life
February 28, 2023 by Thea Li

Coming from a place to which we cannot return

To the place where we can never be

We will not sleep tonight

We are a bunch of howling shadows

It was a great feast

In this fictitious silence agreement, there is no need for a direction

Between fear and ecstasy, our lives swinging like a pendulum.

No avoidance of the two ends

Infinitely accepting the expanse of life

Life finds us in this thrift store

Narrates quietly

A speaker, a carrier

She is a bit arrogant, a fanatic in infinity and eternity

And infinity and eternity love her that way

When time forgets us, she sees us

We fall in love

We roar, we need danger as well as freedom

We want the feeling of the approaching sleep

A feeling like a quarrel with the world from a lover

We drank all night, cried and laughed, and left each other again early in the morning

We are all alive and will continue to be alive soon

The wind blew across the land and slumped into an old swinging chair

Finally, like snails, people all fled
