Welcome to the Orientation Blog! This resource includes information about SVA’s culture, general resources and important information for a student’s personal and academic success.

Blog #1 includes Part 1 of the NYC as Your Campus series, information about involvement opportunities available to students, and an overview of the history of SVA.

NYC As Your Campus: Part 1

The NYC as Your Campus series is a three-part video series (Part 2 in Blog #3 and Part 3 in Blog #5), and is led by the Visual Arts Student Association (VASA) student leaders. It features information about the neighborhoods around SVA, SVA’s Campus and living in NYC.

Attending college in NYC means having the city itself as your campus, and Part 1 includes a focus on the neighborhoods that surround the different areas of our campus.

Campus Activities

Campus activities are a great way to connect with others, build a social network and develop important skills. Student Engagement and Leadership team member, Savannah Davis has prepared a presentation reviewing the available opportunities as well as a quick video explaining how to navigate it.

The History of SVA

We want to share a special video about the History of SVA, compiled by the Office of Learning Technologies. We hope you enjoy it!
