The Visual Arts Student Association’s annual party featured a costume contest, dancing and arcade games.

It’s arguably the biggest student event of the year and certainly the most popular: all the goblins, ghouls and ghosts were there, getting creative with their Halloween costumes at the annual Halloween party hosted by the student government of the School of Visual Arts, Visual Arts Student Association (VASA). Held at Dave & Buster’s in Times Square on Thursday, October 26, a “spooktacular” time was had by all.
The evening’s events included arcade games, dancing (with DJs courtesy of WSVA Radio, the SVA radio station) and a costume contest. The SVA Horror Society also hosted a pumpkin decorating contest and gave away horror movie posters to the winners.
The costume student winners were:
- First place: Marilyn Mangan (BFA Animation), Ice King.
- Second place: Emma Guldbjerg (BFA Comics), the Mad Hatter.
- Third place: Clara Urcullu (BFA Animation), Crochet Fairy.
What a frighteningly good time! Check out photos of the event below, courtesy of BFA Photography and Video student Abigail Mikami.
